It can be easy to get caught up in a life defined by numbers — the digits on the scale, the size of your clothes, the minutes you spend on the elliptical, the number of likes, followers, and comments you get on any given Instagram post. But singer and bona-fide superstar Pink is here to prove that, in most cases, the numbers just. don't. matter.
Pink, who gave birth to her second baby in December, shared a gym selfie on Instagram this week not to boast about how hard she went during her workout or to brag about her post-baby body, but to talk about body image, BMI, and those numbers on the scale.
The singer, who clearly looks awesome, writes that, at 5'3", she weighs 160 pounds — and that by the [often criticized and outdated] Body Mass Index calculator, that puts her firmly in the "overweight" category. "The only thing I'm feeling is myself," she says. "Stay off that scale, ladies!"
Need further proof that Pink is super strong, totally hardcore, and a stellar role model in top-notch shape? #TBT to her memorable "Glitter in the Air" performance at the Grammys. #bodygoals, indeed!
