Kinky Boots

Kinky Boots initially appeared on Broadway in 2013, acquiring almost every award and accolade, since!  With music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper (writer and singer of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and True Colors) the show is jam packed with bright and vivid costuming, stellar dancing and lots of laughs. Chicago

A long running show with a long running revival, Chicago has become a staple Broadway musical.  Dancers will specifically connect with this show as the original was choreographed by none other than Bob Fosse, who infused vaudeville and jazz to create his own unique style.  Follow Roxy Hart and Velma Kelly as they reach for fame and for acquittals at the Cook County jail in this iconic Broadway show. Mean Girls

Mean Girls opened on Broadway just last year in April 2018.  Based off of the 2004 movie directed by Tina Fey, the show tells the story of Cady Heron and the infamous “Plastics.” This musical isn’t just a “regular” musical, it’s a “cool” one. August Wilson Theatre 

Waitress

Pop singer Sara Bareilles writes the songs and lyrics to this musical based off an early 2000’s indie film.  Waitress made history on Broadway when it debuted in late 2016, with the four top creative spots in a show being filled by women.  Find yourself delighted by the smell of fresh baking pies as you enter the theatre. Hamilton

Besides sweeping the Tony’s in its opening year, Hamilton has gained widespread commercial success that has been unparalleled by any other Broadway musical within the last decade.  Hamilton’s impressive hip-hop infused score by Lin-Manuel Miranda tells the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton in fresh, entertaining and downright emotional ways.  Hamilton is a current Broadway show to not be missed.  Richard Rogers Theater
